Something in the Night

You’re born with nothing,
And better off that way,
Soon as you’ve got something
They send someone to try and take it away…

When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt,
We tried to pick up the pieces
And get away without getting hurt

Nothing is forgotten or forgiven
When it’s your last time around,
I got stuff running ‘round my head
That I just can’t live down

Blue Christmas Without You

I'm writing you a letter and I don't know where to start
I get a little lonely every year around this time
The cold wind is blowin' and the streets are getting dark
Nobody ought to be all alone on Christmas
Do you remember sleigh riding in the snow
And dancing all night to "Baby, Please Come Home"?
The music plays all night in Little Italy
Today's celebration is bittersweet
It was a blue christmas without you...

I'm writing you this letter 'cause I still believe
Things are different since you've been here last
Can't you stay a little while, with me, right here?
Childhood dreaming is a thing of the past
I'm all grown up but I'm the same, you'll see
Maybe you can bring us some hope this year
I got high hopes for 2014
Give me help, strength, love, peace
Give me a soul, a night of fearless sleep
Dream, baby dream...
